There is a certain kind of evening I love at MaMeMi.
The table is booked for six. The guests come in with a little buzz about them, because they are heading to a concert afterward. They glance at the clock once, realize there is plenty of time, and settle in. A glass of something sparkling, some antipasti, a pizza each, and they leave in exactly the right mood to hear music.
It is one of the easiest ways to have a great evening in Copenhagen. And because of where we are, it is almost too easy.
A Few Minutes’ Walk From Vega and Lille Vega
We are on Mysundegade, at the corner of Istedgade, only a few minutes on foot from both Vega and Lille Vega.
That means you can eat in peace, drink a proper glass of wine, and still be standing in front of the stage in good time. No stress, no taxi, no cold sausage at the entrance. Just a short walk down Vesterbro when you are done.

Timing, So You Do Not Miss the Start
Here is my best advice. Book the table about two hours before doors open.
Two hours sounds like a lot, but an Italian meal has its own rhythm. You will have time to share a starter, get your pizzas, and finish with an espresso, without anyone having to rush. And if the show creeps up faster than expected, just say so. We know concert nights well, and we will get you out in time.
Concert nights fill up quickly with us, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. So book a table ahead rather than gambling on a free seat.
Why Roman Pizza Is the Perfect Pre-Concert Meal
This matters more than it sounds.
A heavy, doughy pizza sits like a brick in your stomach when you are on your feet for three hours afterward. Ours does not. We make authentic Italian pizza in the Roman style, thin and crispy, with a dough fermented for at least 48 hours.
It is light. You get full and satisfied, but not bloated. You can eat a whole pizza and still feel like dancing afterward. That is exactly the feeling you want when you are heading to a concert.
How to Build the Perfect Pre-Concert Menu
Start light. An Aperol Spritz or a Negroni sets the tone, or ask for a glass of natural wine from our Italian wine bar in Copenhagen, and we will find something that fits the evening.
Then share some antipasti at the table while you figure out what you want. It is how Italians start a meal, and it gives you time to land.
Then the pizza. One each, that is how we do it. If you are in the mood for something rich, try our Carbonara with pecorino, egg fondue and crispy pork cheek, ideally with a glass of Chianti Classico. If you want something lighter before the show, a Cacio e Pepe with a fresh Garganega from Veneto is hard to beat. Finish with a quick espresso. Then you are ready.
And After the Concert?
On Fridays and Saturdays we are open until midnight.
So if the evening ends with you standing on Enghavevej, not quite ready to go home, you are welcome to stop by for one last glass. We are just around the corner from Vega, and a digestivo or a glass of natural wine is a fine way to let the music settle.
