So you are visiting us for the first time. Let me take you by the hand.
There is nothing complicated about an evening at MaMeMi. But there are a few things that are nice to know in advance, so you can lean back and simply enjoy it from the very first moment.
Here is everything you should know before your first visit.
How to Find Us
You will find us at Mysundegade 28, in the heart of Vesterbro in Copenhagen.
We are just two minutes from Enghave Plads and easy to reach by public transport. If you are heading to a concert at Vega or Lille Vega, we are right around the corner, perfect for dinner before or after.
When you see the warm light spilling onto the street, you are in the right place.
When We Are Open
We are open Wednesday to Sunday.
The kitchen opens at 17:00 every evening. We pour until 23:00 on weekdays and until midnight on Friday and Saturday. Monday and Tuesday we are closed and let the oven rest.
If you love a long weekend, remember that we also serve lunch. On Saturday and Sunday we open as early as 12:00.
Book a Table, or Walk In
My best advice for a first visit is simple. Book a table.
We are a small place, and especially at the weekend it fills up quickly. You are always welcome to try your luck and walk in, but with a reservation you are sure of a seat, and we can welcome you properly.
If you want to make the evening extra special, tell us when you book. We love being part of a celebration.
How We Eat
An evening with us is built the Italian way. You share, and you take your time.
You are not sitting apart with your own plate. You order a few things, pass them around the table, taste each other’s and let the meal unfold slowly. This is how an Italian meal is meant to be, and it is half the pleasure.
And we will never rush you. Once you have sat down, the table is yours for as long as you want it.
What to Order
Start with antipasti. Always.
The small sharing plates open the appetite and set the tone for the evening. If you are not sure where to begin, we have gathered the antipasti you should start with in a little guide.
Then comes the pizza, and this is what we are known for. Thin, crispy Roman pizza, made from a secret blend of five organic flours and fermented for 48 hours. It is light enough that you finish satisfied, not heavy.
And save room for dolce. Our homemade tiramisu is the one people come back for. If you want to see it all in advance, you can always see the full menu.
Let Danilo Take Care of the Wine
Here is one of the great pleasures of a visit with us.
Our sommelier Danilo has chosen over 1,000 natural wines, every one by hand, every winemaker met in person. Tell him what you are eating, tell him what you like, or simply say the magic words. Surprise me.
If you want to prepare a little, we have written about which wine pairs with Roman pizza. But you do not need to. That is exactly what Danilo is here for.
Good to Know
A few last things to make the visit easier.
We have vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, so just let us know if there is anything we should take into account. If you would rather eat at home, you can order takeaway, and if you are looking for a gift, we have gift cards.
The dress code is relaxed. Come as you are. This is a warm and easygoing place, not a stiff one.
We Look Forward to Having You
Now you know what to expect. All that is left is to come and experience it.
If you want to know who we are, you can meet the brothers behind MaMeMi. And if you want to feel what an evening with us is like, we have described the perfect Italian evening in Copenhagen.
Book a table, and let your first visit begin.
